Drake Voell & Ashburn Win Memorial Day Tourney near Philly!

Drake Voell's Ashburn power play Mite's A team went 5-0 in the Memorial Day Tournament at Iceworks in Aston, PA, winning the championship! 

Drake was awarded MVP!   In 3 games, which included the play-off game and the championship game, Drake allowed 4 goals on 58 shots.

Former Goalie Academy Wimpy Award Winner, Geoff DeMarco, played on Siena College's 2008 Supereast Championship team (ACHA).

   

Eric Vierkant leads Team Maryland to Nationals!

The Team Maryland 1995 team won the Atlantic Youth Hockey League championship and Eric Vierkant was named " Great American Goalie Pee Wee Major!"

Team MD came in a very impressive 3rd place at Nationals!

     
 

Jay Williams and Colin Catherman go to Tier 1 Southeast Districts

The strong play of both Washington Little Capitals goalies lead to the hard fought defeat of Team Maryland in the Bantam Major 1993 age category.  Catherman finished #2 in save percentage in the AYHL with 0.912! Williams was listed on the USHL Draft list!

     
 

Xavier Jean backstops a determined Team Maryland 1993 Squad

In a losing effort, Xavier Jean held the Washington Little Capitals' offense to only 6 goals in their three game playoff series.  Jean was outstanding in the Southeast District playoff making some jaw dropping stops!

     
 
 

Dickinson and Depuy are last line of defense for Hershey Jr Bears' Pee Wee World Championship Run

The Hershey Jr Bears ,made it all the way to the Championship game in the prestigious World Pee Wee Championships in Quebec City, Quebec, but unfortunately fell in OT to Cape Breton who they previously defeated 3-0 in Game 1 at Le Colisee.  Yielding merely 5 goals in 5 games including 2 shutouts, Dickinson and Depuy held strong throughout the tourney!

At Nationals, Dickinson had two solid outings and Depuy won the Shootout competiton!

 
 

Stefan Theunissen guides a Cinderella Team Maryland U18 Squad to Nationals

Stefan and his team (Team Maryland AAA U18) won the 2008 USA Hockey Southeastern District Tier 1 U18 Championship in Indian Trail, NC. This means that they are going to represent the Southeast district in the NATIONALS in Buffalo, NY on April 2-6, 2008!

     
 

Team MD U16 National going to Districts with help from Ulysse Lechene

Ulysse Lechene leads the team with a 2.50 GAA and a .87 save percentage and will help the U16 team bid for a National Championship in April in Buffalo, NY!  Great job and best of luck! 

     
 

Mary Faith Lindner holds down the fort until Chavy Chase prevails in OT

At the U12 level, Chevy Chase won the CBHL playoffs in overtime 3-2 over a determined and talented Reston Raiders' team.  As she has done all season long, Mary Faith Lindner held the fort in goal.

 
 

Dylann Nasr and Jill Teitlebaum team up to backstop Reston U12 to the finals

Reston girls U12 lost a heartbreaker to Chevy Chase in the CBHL championship in overtime 3-2.  Dylann and Jill teammed up for a great game and a great season.

   
 

Reston U14 girls rally around netminder Amber Coughenour for the CBHL Championship

Reston's U14 girls took the CBHL title with a convincing 8-0 shutout by Amber Coughenour versus Raleigh!

The Reston U14 girls won the CBHL with a record of 17-0. Amber's stats were impressive with 10 shut outs and a 9 GAA!

 
 

In the Ashburn House Championship, Colin McNelis' red team defeated the blue for the league championship.

Colin McNelis played against Elliott Shelton and Michael Fiedler, who took the runner-up title this year.

 
 

Jordan Pohl Key Member of Stone Bridge High School's NVSHL Championship

Pohl, a Junior at Stone Bridge, once again helped backstop his team to the NVSHL Championship!

Winning the Caps Shootout Competiton 2-0 over the Reston Raiders at the Verizon Center between periods of the Calgary Flames/Capitals game, the rink side announcer said it best that it was "All LeClair!" Great job guys!  See you at PHD!

 

Hatfield Wins Caps' Shootout

Brett Hatfield and his teammates from the Reston Raiders won the U16 1 on 1 shootout at the Verizon Center this fall!
